Using slow-motion photography, the flexion and extension patterns of the horse's joints are demonstrated at various phases of locomotion. The standard bred amble, pace and trot, as well as the thoroughbred walk, trot, canter, and gallop are shown from the side and front viewpoints. Of special interest to horse owners, breeders, trainers, 4-H groups, and others, as well as veterinarians.
